Established in 1974, Plockmatic International is a worldwide supplier of finishing solutions for the print market. With more than 40 years of experience, the Plockmatic group (includes Plockmatic, Morgana, and Watkiss brands) designs and manufactures integrated inline and offline finishing equipment including booklet makers, trimmers, stackers and perfect binders. Plockmatic has positions open for immediate employment supporting our North American operations.

Our Field Service Specialists are responsible to provide technical product support and training on Plockmatic Inline, Offline and Mailing products to our print partners, dealers and customers. Field Service Specialists provide phone and on-site technical support, perform product installations, service training, and to maintain positive working relations with end user and OEM customers.

Plockmatic Field Service Specialist Responsibilities

  • 1st, 2nd and 3rd level finishing technical product support
  • On-site support for technical escalations
  • Perform on-site product installation at customer locations.
  • Provide Technical product service training to Technical Specialists, Trainers and Service Technicians
  • On-site support for trade shows and open houses
  • Review Service Documentation to improve troubleshooting, repairs and adjustment procedures
  • Identify and provide re-creation steps for software bugs
  • Provide Technical support for new product launches

Position Requirements – Experience and Qualifications

Candidates must have

  • Solid technical background in the printing industry with a minimum of 5 years’ experience or equivalent
  • Familiarity with the printing business and knowledge of digital printers and electromechanical products
  • Technical training experience or equivalent
  • Ability to travel to customer sites in North America providing On-Site Escalation support within a short notice.
  • Ability to travel 25%-50%, approximately.
  • Ability to diagnose hardware and software technical problems and provide a solution
  • Ability to provide installation support and on-site assistance
  • Ability to provide SPARES support using company software program
  • Trip Reports and administrative reports completed within company timeframes
  • Digital printing experience and must be able to adapt to a continually evolving environment; and thrive in an autonomous, efficient and business-minded workplace
  • Windows based application knowledge to download and install product software using a laptop
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
  • Excellent Customer relationship skills
  • Must have a valid Driver’s license and current Passport
  • Provide Employers’ references and contacts upon request

Education Requirements

Associate Degree in technology field, Electronics preferred with certifications

  • International Society of Certified Electronics (ISCET), CET and CSR
