Estonian packaging specialist Pakenditööstus OÜ, Tallinn, has installed a Morgana BM5035S bookletmaker with VFX feeder, purchased from Morgana dealer for Estonia, Abcom OÜ.

Pakenditööstus OÜ has three offices and warehouses across the country, and it offers a complete professional packaging solution.

The Need

Pakenditööstus OÜ wanted to expand its portfolio with digitally printed booklets, to go along the other packaging solutions they offer today. The company offer a full range of packaging materials starting from pallets and wraps, and cardboard boxes, It wanted to include operator manuals and catalogues with their customers goods.

The Solution

The Morgana BM5000 series of bookletmakers produce booklets in a variety of sizes, including landscape A4 down to A6 two-up, and many more. The BM5035S bookletmaker is engineered for mid-to-high volume customers requiring the highest quality and functionality requirements.

With an increasing number of printing systems available to handle larger cut-sheet sizes, A4 landscape and oversize booklets can now be produced easily and cost-effectively. The new BM5000 Series delivers these new applications by handling up to 620mm long sheets.

The BM5035S provides an optional four stitching head configuration, letting users finish jobs that have been imposed two-up on a sheet. Binding of 30 sheets is possible when using four stitch heads. This functionality offers users higher productivity and a reduced costs per book.

The Morgana VFX is a high-capacity Vacuum Feeder capable of efficiently feeding a wide range of paper types and weights, up to 15,000 sheets per hour. The dual tray feeder has been engineered to fit a wide range of Morgana bookletmaker product. It’s equipped with highly automated vacuum feed technology specifically designed to handle the widest range of pre-printed media. Users can achieve maximum productivity with the Automatic Tray Switching feature, enabling long unattended runs, with the ability to load empty trays during the run.
