Bookletmakers

Our range of bookletmakers offer a variety of solution for centralised reproduction departments and commercial print providers – large and small. Customers can choose from a range of cost-effective options to support their application requirements. The systems are packed with a host of unique technologies that deliver finished books with quality to match today’s printing systems.

Folders and Creasers

Morgana’s range of creasing and folding machines includes manual or fully automatic solutions. They offer unmatched performance and value and are testimony to the Morgana policy of designing first class solutions for document finishing problems. The new machines with deep pile feeders allows stacking of up to 450mm of paper to enable longer runs and are equipped with a SmartStep table drop for fast loading of shorter run jobs. Paper feeding is controlled by a new vacuum top feeding drum that can automatically change between a wide range of paper types and thickness with little operator intervention.

PUR binders

PUR Binding, known as perfect binding is used to create books with a similar appearance to that of a paper backed book, with PUR – the book blocks are milled on the spine to enable the paper to absorb the adhesive. The books are trimmed on 3 sides to produce a professional finished result.

PUR is the strongest, most flexible binding adhesive available and offers several additional advantages over other binding methods. When inks, coatings or digital print toners are present in the spine area these can compromise the strength of typical hotmelt perfect binding. PUR is resistant to this and will form a super-strong bond with all weights and finishes of paper stocks. In addition PUR works well with synthetic and recycled-content stock.

Cutting Table

Valiani Cutting Tables: Fast and Versatile Also on show will be the unique and highly versatile Valiani cutting table Mat Pro Ultra V 150. This device immediately gets you thinking about lots of jobs you could now take on to add value to your customers and your business. It’s incredibly versatile, being able to perform a wide range of cutting, creasing, perforating and embossing operations. For those involved in large format print production, it’s possible to immediately see its potential for the creation of point-of-sale products, and for printers involved in varied short run packaging products – such as marketing or test products.

Available in three models: the Mat Pro Ultra 80, 120 and 150, with the largest having a working area of 1,515 x 1,051mm. All the models are available in a vacuum version for more demanding applications. A key feature of the Mat Pro Ultra is the patented tool change mechanism allowing tools to be changed in less than 30 seconds, meaning that the user can move from cutting to creasing, perforating or embossing very swiftly. A range of software and hardware accessories allows each cutting machine to be customised for different production requirements.

V-Studio is the Operating Software that drives the cutting, creasing, perforating and embossing operations, with specific modules available for particular tasks, such as packaging or board-mount applications.
