As per usual with Morgana, we will have a wide range of finishing equipment for print companies both large and small. We will include some new products on the stand that were launched at Drupa. Firstly, we have the Morgana DigiFold Ultra, a creasing/folding machine with full-bleed trim capabilities. It can slit, cut, crease, perforate, and fold in one pass. It is robustly designed to complement mid-to-high volume digital and offset production presses. Exhibited for the first time at Drupa 2024, the DigiFold Ultra builds on the capabilities of the DigiFold Pro XL by adding the slitting and cutting functionality for full-bleed trim applications. High-quality applications such as full-bleed six- or eight-panel brochures become an easy task, even for A4 landscape finished formats.
Also, exhibits will include the new Morgana SC7000 Pro-T the exciting new automatic digital cutters, providing a dual tool device. Sheets of up to 450-micron can now be cut, kiss-cut, creased, and perforated all in one pass using the intuitive ColorCut Software package, developed specifically for the entire cutter range. The SC7000 Pro-T XL is the wider format version taking sheets up to 520 x 720mm. These devices are ideal for commercial printers and digital print companies wishing to bring automated digital die-cutting in-house. The design is built on the success of the SC6500 and ColorCut series of products.
In addition to these new releases, there will be a host of regular finishing equipment. For those seeking a full booklet making solution, the Morgana BM5000 will be shown with a dual-bin feeder and finishing module. Alternatively, the PowerSquare 160 system will deliver booklets of up to 160-pages, complete with square-formed spine. With the ability to deliver six staples per printed set, this system can aid the production of work printed as two- or three-up.
Other show stealers, such as the Morgana’s ColorFlare CF-2500Pro laminating and foiling solution, and FB1180T digital flatbed cutter, will line-up along with regular Morgana favorites, including AutoCreaser, AutoCut ProX, and the Uchida multi-function finishing machine.
For those seeking that most critical of finishing products, the guillotine, Morgana will exhibit both EBA’s THE56 and the Mohr 66 cutting solutions, along with the recently announced SpeedCut software for the EBA product. This software provides for an automatic mode where trim mark detection allow for instant program creation at the push of a button. Realistic 3D cutting simulation and sequence verification are then available to review prior to execution via the guillotine’s tablet style operator interface. The software can also create a barcode that can be read by the machine equipped with a barcode reader.
